At Kestrel Quest we aim to create to bring clarity, structure and integrity to workplace learning.

We believe effective learning is more than content or visuals. It is also about how information is organised, understood and applied in real contexts. Too often, programs become overloaded, fragmented or difficult to use. Our work focuses on resolving those issues through thoughtful design and careful refinement.

Our approach

We combine strong visual design with evidence-based learning principles to create experiences that are clear, user-friendly and built for real-world application.

Every element is considered as part of a whole, so learning works in practice, not just in theory.

About the founder

Kestrel Quest is led by SJ Allen, a senior instructional designer with
postgraduate qualifications in education including a Master of
Education (Digital Technologies for Learning).

SJ brings extensive experience across complex sectors, including government, higher education, finance and emergency services. Her recent work has focused on challenging and high stakes learning projects, end-to-end from architecture through to delivery.

SJ's instructional design expertise is grounded in:

• a strong focus on structure and layout

• a deep understanding of how people process and apply information

• the ability to see connections across complex content

• cross-cultural competence and lived experience of neurodivergence

This produces learning that is coherent and engaging for all audiences, even in detailed or technical contexts.
